Giving Back to the Community

Air Products is committed not only to the safety and health of its workers, but also to the health, wellbeing and livelihood of the communities where we operate.

In 2023, we announced a long-term commitment to the Lake Maurepas community. We’re excited to share the progress we’ve made since that time. Air Products is committed not only to the safety and health of its workers, but also to the health, wellbeing and livelihood of the communities where we operate.

Lake Maurepas Community Fund

Air Products is committed to being a good neighbor in Louisiana and in all areas where we operate. Our work through the Lake Maurepas Community Fund and the Louisiana Clean Energy Complex further deepens that commitment.

Air Products will commit $1 million
annually—via its charitable giving affiliate,
the Air Products Foundation—to communities bordering Lake Maurepas.

Funding began in 2023 and will continue through the overall operation of the Louisiana Clean Energy Complex,
which is currently anticipated
to be at least 25 years.

Non-profit organizations that support ecological, educational and recreational improvements for those who live, work and visit the Lake Maurepas area are eligible for grants.

Air Products’ Commitment to Louisiana

Our company’s more than 330 Louisiana-based employees perform many volunteer activities and make other contributions to organizations in the communities surrounding our 18 facilities in the state. In addition to promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, Air Products employees in Louisiana support volunteer organizations that improve the lives of people, including the United Way, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and the IRIS Domestic Violence Center. Not only do we live and work here—we also volunteer here.

Out and About in the Community

Connecting Summer Campers with Louisiana's Natural Beauty

Campers from New Wine Christian Fellowship’s summer camp participated in an educational field trip to the Turtle Cove Research Station in Lake Maurepas. The campers learned about the different types of wildlife and fish in Lake Maurepas and how planting cypress trees can help lessen the loss of wetlands in the area. The campers took a boat ride to the Turtle Cove Research Station and were given life jackets to keep. Campers who were too young to go to Turtle Cove were able to visit the nearby zoo to learn about animals instead. Air Products’ Lake Maurepas Community Fund covered the cost of both field trips, transportation and lunches for the campers.
