Giving Back to the Community

Air Products is committed not only to the safety and health of its workers, but also to the health, wellbeing and livelihood of the communities where we operate.

In 2023, we announced a long-term commitment to the Lake Maurepas community. We’re excited to share the progress we’ve made since that time. Air Products is committed not only to the safety and health of its workers, but also to the health, wellbeing and livelihood of the communities where we operate.

Lake Maurepas Community Fund

Air Products is committed to being a good neighbor in Louisiana and in all areas where we operate. Our work through the Lake Maurepas Community Fund and the Louisiana Clean Energy Complex further deepens that commitment.

Air Products will commit $1 million
annually—via its charitable giving affiliate,
the Air Products Foundation—to communities bordering Lake Maurepas.

Funding began in 2023 and will continue through the overall operation of the Louisiana Clean Energy Complex,
which is currently anticipated
to be at least 25 years.

Non-profit organizations that support ecological, educational and recreational improvements for those who live, work and visit the Lake Maurepas area are eligible for grants.

Air Products’ Commitment to Louisiana

Our company’s more than 330 Louisiana-based employees perform many volunteer activities and make other contributions to organizations in the communities surrounding our 18 facilities in the state. In addition to promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, Air Products employees in Louisiana support volunteer organizations that improve the lives of people, including the United Way, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and the IRIS Domestic Violence Center. Not only do we live and work here—we also volunteer here.

Out and About in the Community

Cooking up Jambalaya for the United Way in St. Charles Parish

Air Products team members participated in the Battle for the Paddle, which benefits the St. Charles United Way. For the first time ever, our team members won third place for their jambalaya. Air Products team members also cooked pastalaya and gumbo as part of the event, which raises money to support United Way charities that serve St. Charles parish. A fun (and tasty!) time was had by all!

Caring for Animals in Ascension Parish

Air Products employees in Ascension parish capped off a day of volunteering at Cara’s House by presenting the animal shelter with a check for $15,000 from the Air Products Foundation. Air Products employees local to Ascension parish also volunteered, performing maintenance and cleaning tasks to assist the shelter’s staff. Cara's House is the open intake shelter for Ascension parish in Louisiana, which strives to provide the best care for the animals in its shelter while they wait for their forever homes.

Sharing About Manufacturing Careers with St. John Students

Air Products was proud to be a sponsor of River Parishes Community College’s manufacturing day in Reserve, which allowed students from St. John parish to learn about jobs in industrial manufacturing. Our team members enjoyed explaining what we do at Air Products and answering questions about carbon capture and sequestration.
