Air Products Donates $15,000 to Cara’s House Animal Shelter in Ascension Parish
SORRENTO, La. – Air Products’ employees in Ascension parish capped off a day of volunteering at Cara’s House by presenting the animal shelter with a check for $15,000.
The $15,000 comes from the Air Products Foundation, which supports community organizations and causes in the areas where Air Products’ employees live and work. Air Products employees local to Ascension parish also volunteered, performing maintenance and cleaning tasks to assist the shelter’s staff. Cara's House is the open intake shelter for Ascension parish in Louisiana, which strives to provide the best care for the animals in its shelter while they wait for their forever homes.
“Cara’s House plays a valuable role in caring for animals in our communities, keeping them safe and healthy while they await adoption into their forever homes,” said Danna LeBlanc, Commercial Executive Director of Air Products’ Louisiana Clean Energy Complex, which is being built in Ascension parish. “We are excited to play a small role in the caring work they do each day.”
“We greatly appreciate the volunteer time and financial support from Air Products. Their generosity will help us continue to care for these wonderful animals while we work to find them forever homes,” said Reagan Law Daniel, president of the Cara’s House board.
